Lac sensible (Sensitive Lake)
Under the clouds, Lake Geneva appears as in a dream. A dream that became reality at the request of the Musée du Léman who offered me a carte blanche towards the end of October 2014.
In “Sensitive Lake”, I propose a poetic and emotional journey in a region dear to my heart. I had left to live away in Wales, and I missed the lake. Through photography, I recover it. The project was realised from winter to spring in a spirit of revival. While my past projects addressed loss and mourning, my child’s birth awakened a new stream of inspiration.
I composed this series by following my intuitions over four excursions. By mixing portraits, landscapes and details, I propose a soft and subjective narration of my intimacy. Along with the current, emotions unveil and unite in the wind. This project speaks of the life, force and beauty of the elements, and of the authenticity of man’s relationship to nature.
The series is realised between October 2014 and May 2015.
